Make this modern and bold wood block trivet! Easily dress up and protect your table or make one as a gift.
1. Use the masking tape to mask off where you'd like to paint. I mixed it up, some sides I left plain, some I painted a triangle, and others I painted the whole side. Mask off the round beads as well. Seal the masking tape with a thin layer of Elmer's glue.
2. Once the glue is dry, paint your blocks and beads. I opted for black, but any color will work. When that is dry, remove the tape.
3. Finally, string the blocks and beads together and double knot to secure. You can make your trivet larger or smaller to suit your needs. Mine is 8 blocks and 8 beads, which was a nice size to fit under our tea pot.
